About Us

As the principal of Expert Remodeling, Marc Lindman has been providing expert construction services since 1980; he has developed a reputation for Quality and Integrity.

His work includes building, renovating, remodeling, and structural reinforcement of private homes. He has worked on homes and condos for countless residential clients. (see Remodeling, Additions and Specialty Work)

In addition to his work for private clients, Marc takes pride in the work he has done on public structures. As an example, in 1997 he built Bay Cove Academy, a school for troubled youth in Brookline Massachusetts. (see Specialty Work)

In 1998 Marc and his wife moved to South Kingstown to raise their kids in a natural setting. They now reside in South Kingstown with eight children. Since the move, Marc has enjoyed building and remodeling for numerous families. Now he can provide positive references in this beautiful corner of America.

His commitment to integrity, quality, and craftsmanship shows in the final products for his clients. You can see some of their opinions on this website, and others are available upon request. Each job is done with the expertise that only years of experience can provide.

Personal Statement

Do you want to hire a salesperson or a craftsperson?

In these days of false advertising and bogus claims designed to take your money, it pays to be wary of sales pitches. All companies will purport themselves to be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to craftsmanship.

I have been in this business since 1980. I was amazed to learn that, with exceptions, contractors who do especially well for themselves do not necessarily do the same for their clients. Some of the most successful contractors are that way because they can sell themselves, but when it comes (down) to the end result, you have spent big money on an OK job.

So how do you tell? Call past clients. Look at work Iíve done. Meet the people who will work on your home. Go with your gut feelings. I have been working with my hands since 1969. Prior to 1980, I fixed cars and trucks for clients who learned of me by word of mouth. What I did for, how I treated that first client is what brought me the second one.

Now as a remodeling contractor the same principle applies.

I have learned to be knowledgeable in estimation, excavation, demolition, design, concrete, framing, plumbing, heating, electrical work, insulation, siding, roofing, plaster and drywall, paint, finish work, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and the building code. I can personally do a quality job in all these venues, as code allows.

I know what it takes to integrate these and other things to give quality. If you are willing to pay a fair price, I can deliver the goods. If you would prefer to hurry up a bit, I can let a little of the quality go and save you some money. You can decide, up front, what you want.

It isnít all smoke and mirrors, itís real.
